Our Story
God’s Purpose Prevails.
One of the greatest lessons God has taught our family is that following Him requires us to hold our own plans with open hands.
We’ve had plenty of plans over the years. Some unfolded much differently than we expected. Some changed completely. Some required us to wait. And some opportunities appeared that we never could have planned for ourselves.
Again and again, God has invited us to trust His direction more than our ability to understand what comes next.
“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails.”
Proverbs 19:21 NIVSometimes obedience has meant moving forward before we could see the whole picture. Other times it has meant changing direction, releasing something we wanted, waiting longer than we expected, or simply remaining where God told us to stay.
Through every season, we’re learning that surrender does not mean having no plans. It means allowing God to have the final word over them.
What We’re Learning
We can make plans. We can work. We can prepare. We can faithfully steward what He places in our hands. But God remains the Master Builder.
We certainly haven’t gotten every decision right, and we’re still learning. But His faithfulness has taught us that we don’t have to carry the pressure of making our own purpose prevail. Our responsibility is to remain close to Him, listen for His direction, and respond when He leads.
